The bottler is Jack Wiebers Whisky World and there also exists a cask strength version. That version (at least) is a single barrel. The source is “a distillery on Islay’s southern shores”. In the German language web forums it’s unisonous identified as a Lagavulin. It comes in ca. 8 yo and 14 yo variations. Price is quite affordable. I so far went through 2 bottles of the 8 yo cask strength and it’s a peaty whisky with a punch. Me (and all the friends that tried it too) loved it immensely!

I’m English by location – but I’m actually Scots Irish (give that guy a rosette) I guess genetically – if the names of my ancestors are to go by
I reckon if you’re in to whiskey – you should have a crack at distillery yourself
I first tasted distilled alcohol aged 11 in a school chemistry lab – education you can’t beat it – it ain’t rocket science (maybe rocket fuel)
12 years wait – ain’t nothin’ – just don’t screw up the first 5 times

I have yet to be disappointed with the bastards. I have been underwhelmed, but not yet disappointed.
That Signatory Laphroiag 2000 un-chillfiltered bottle is a knockout.

So what’s all the rage about a whisky not being chill filtered? You mention you like that quite often.
