bushmills is a pretty versatile brand. its cheap enough to use as a mixer in any of your whisky drinks. but it is also smooth enough to drink over ice.
some twits will tell you not to mix it…blah blah blah..but those people are pretty poor if they consider bushmills too nice to mix.
other twits will say to only drink it neat at room temperature…but they too are pretty poor. once you drink enough good whisky/scotch/bourbon ($60+) you’ll find that the $20 stuff is pretty bad. so those that say the only way to drink it is neat don’t know what they’re talking about. not to say that a $20 fifth is undrinkable neat, many of them have very distinct flavors. i’m just saying that a $20 bottle is a great one to try different drinks with.
i prefer it over ice. car bombs are fun too, if you can avoid making a huge mess.
