Which whisky suits you best?
Question by McAtterie: Which whisky suits you best?
Macallan and Glenlivet are supposedly the posion of choice in the writing profession, and I can’t but agree on it. I won’t elaborate, as I’d rather ask you. Do you think your favourite whisky suits who you are, and if so, how?
Please don’t mention ‘Scotch’ as it makes my skin crawl towards my shade and stab me in the back.
As I have once spilled Glenlivet all over my bed and waited with washing the bedsheets so I could be overcome with its lingering scent of wood and fairytales (and succeeded), you have an answer to your question Pssst…

I like Vodka. It helps me express myself better + dance real good.

Whiskey makes me aggressive and belligerent. I learned long ago to stick to beer.

I occasionally drink Crown Royal but I certainly don’t feel majestic. My second choice is Wild Turkey 101. I’ve been called a turkey before so I can see resemblance there.

Any single malt scotch from Scotland. Ahhhhh! Pure ambrosia!

JW Black on the rocks. Perfect to gradually loosen up. It’s a matter of taste actually. I can’t tolerate bourbon, it leaves a chewing gum aftertaste in my mouth. For stimulation when writing, however, I’d rather have ice-cold beer straight from the bottle.

Macallan suits me just fine…perhaps a little too well, so it’s nothing I keep close to hand.

I’m now sat with a Glenfiddich caoran reserve because I couldn’t bear to open the Jura 1810 single malt while I am all alone.
The Glenmorangie, Bladnoch and Bowmore are well on their way to having been taste tested. (Though I must admit to starting young, whiskey was the tott of choice when I was teething as a child, blame my grandmother)…

I prefer Wild Turkey 101. I suppose that it suits who I am. I haven’t really thought about it until right now. It is from the same place I am and contains a lot of alcohol, so it is like me.
