Is whisky is bad for a heart patient or it has got some good effects on heart ?

Question by paran077: Is whisky is bad for a heart patient or it has got some good effects on heart ?
If I take 2/3 peg of whisky everyday, should I be in danger as a heart patient because I had my by-pass few years back.

around 1 ounce or 1 shot a day is good

    a small ammount of alcohol is okay, sometimes good for you. but it might have a negative effect on you if you take any kind of medication.

    Whiskey, or any spirit, is not good for heart patients. The effect [ flushing ] draws blood away from vital organs. You’re confusing wine which does have anti-oxidant properties and, in moderation ‘may’ have some benefits.
