Bushmill’s is NOT exclusively single malt. Most of what you are given in a bar is Bushmill’s Original or perhaps Bushmill’s Black. They are blended whiskeys just like JD or Johnny Walker. Those are also the only two comparable in price (at least in my country) to JD. I’d try them both. Very different flavour. I love both on the rocks.

Well as a bonafide Sailor and Alcoholic I can tell you there are a few medical issues

1 brain damage yes brain damage although it dosent always show the way you think of brain damage it with out doubt damages brain function im not saying every time you do this it will be so bad that you become infant like again but it kills brain cells

2 heart problems that much alcohol can kill heart muscle , give you an irregular heart beat and raise blood pressure cause stroke

3 liver and digestive greif kills good bacterias in your intestines

if it doesnt kill you when you do it the first time if continued will eventually it will.

thats just part of it of course theres dui arrests blackout vomit aspiration what it does to family and friends divorce sexual misconduct etc if a person can do this drink a fifth in a few hours and do it frequently they most definitly have an addiction problem.. SEEK HELP

Only one bottle? That’s not so bad… If you are responsible about it; don’t drive, play with guns, etc… You said he’s drinking it over the course of a night, so like 8 hours? If you break it down, that’s only about 2 shots an hour or so… Sure vitamin water would possibly be healthier for you, but what the hell… Ya only live once!

No one is even close to Jimi Hendrix, but any list of guitarist that has David Gilmour or Eddie Van Halen ranked lower than Ike Turner is a ridiculous one. No way there is 69 guitarist better than Eddie Van Halen. The rankings of Rhandy Roads, Angus Young, Dickey Betts and Peter Green in particular are far too low.
